Vol. 107 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Facilities for Omnibus Passengers.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the inconvenience caused to omnibus passengers, residing on the Leinster side of Athlone, arising from the fact that parcels are not taken on to omnibuses except at the railway station, which is over a mile from the shopping centre in the town; and if he will direct Córas Iompair Éireann to arrange for the taking on of parcels at the stopping place at the Royal Hotel.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the inconvenience and hardship caused to intending omnibus passengers in Althlone by the absence of suitable waiting accommodation and shelters at the stopping place at the Father Mathew Hall; and if he will direct Córas Iompair Éireann to arrange for the immediate provision of these facilities.

I propose to take questions Nos. 8 and 9 together.

I suggest that the matters mentioned should be taken up with the company.
