Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Pensions of Easter Week Men's Widows.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is prepared to introduce proposals for the purpose of increasing the small pensions granted to the widows of men killed during Easter Week, 1916, and of men who died subsequently, as the result of their participation in the Rebellion; and if so, when such proposals will be laid before the Dáil.

It is not proposed to amend the Army Pensions Acts for the purpose of increasing the allowances granted to the widows of men killed during Easter Week, 1916, and to the widows of men who died subsequently as a result of their participation in the Rising.
