I am sorry that I am not in a position as yet to indicate when these service medals will be issued.
There are five different medals for the emergency services and 12 different dies are required. Owing to the heavy demands on the suppliers, only one die has so far been furnished to my Department and until such time as the remaining dies are forthcoming, I shall not be in a position to indicate with any degree of accuracy when the medals will be available for distribution.
I shall, needless to remark, endeavour to reduce any delays in production to the minimum.
