The final plans for this scheme were approved by my Department on the 9th instant, subject to minor amendments, and the preparation of a bill of quantities. When these matters have been attended to by the local authority, they will be in a position to invite tenders for the work.

The preliminary report of the consulting engineer for a water supply scheme at Boherbue has been received in my Department and is being examined. The council were requested on the 25th ultimo to furnish a report on the gaugings of the proposed source of supply and this report has not yet been submitted.
