Vol. 110 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Tipperary Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if any steps have been taken for the purpose of acquiring the Francis N. Greene estates near Dundrum, County Tipperary, and, if not, whether it is intended to take such steps, and when.

Proceedings have been instituted by the Land Commission for the resumption of part of the lands of Francis Greene in the townlands of Cappamurragh, Demone and Drummonaclara, and an objection by the tenant to the Land Commission's proposals has been received and will be listed for hearing in due course.

asked the Minister for Lands what progress has been made in the proceedings for acquisition of the Griffin estate near Cashel, County Tipperary, and its division among deserving applicants.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of the lands of Knockroe and resumption of the lands of Farranamanagh. Prices have been fixed for these lands and it is hoped that possession will be secured about the end of the year. A division scheme is in course of preparation.
