Vol. 110 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Potato Supplies.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is satisfied that there will be sufficient supplies of potatoes to meet demands in large urban areas, particularly in Dublin City, until the new crop is on sale; and, if not, whether he will take steps to ensure that sufficient supplies are made available.

Stocks of potatoes are not so plentiful as in previous years, but it is expected that they will prove sufficient until the new crop becomes available.

A reserve of potatoes has been provided and will be utilised in the event of any shortage arising.
