Vol. 110 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ground Limestone Supplies.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if his announcement concerning the manufacture of ground limestone implies the acceptance in principle of the scheme announced last year by the former Minister for Agriculture, based on proposals submitted to the Government by Mianrai Teo.; if any substantial departure from the details of this scheme is contemplated; if he is in a position to state: (1) to whom it is proposed to entrust the management of the scheme; (2) the estimated cost of production of ground limestone; (3) the proposed selling price, and (4) the total estimated capital expenditure and annual subsidy involved.

I am not yet in a position to indicate the lines on which the production of ground limestone will be carried out. The question of the best and most economical method of production is at present being examined.
