Vol. 110 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Development of Glengariff Amenities.

Mr. Collins

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the dissatisfaction arising from the failure of the Irish Tourist Board to implement its plans for the development of amenities in Glengariff under the Tourist Traffic (Amendment) Act, 1946, and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter.

I have been informed that the plans to which the Deputy refers have been delayed through an increase in the costs since they were first made. I understand that the scheme is now under consideration but it is not possible to say what action will be taken.
