Vol. 110 No. 3

European Economic Conference.

If I may, I think this is the proper time to ask the Taoiseach if he proposes to make a statement to this House on the European Economic Conference in Paris to which a representative of this Government is travelling.

Notice should have been given by the Deputy.

I understand that under the Standing Orders I would be entitled to move the adjournment of this House for that purpose. I do not want to do that. I merely want to ask the Taoiseach——

The Deputy might have given notice.

I consider that it would be highly inadvisable at this stage to make any such statement and that it would not be in the public interest.

I wish to give notice now to the Taoiseach that I will raise the matter to-morrow.
