Vol. 110 No. 3

Appointment of a Parliamentary Secretary.

With the permission of the Chair I beg leave to state, for the information of the Dáil, that on the 27th ultimo the Government, on my nomination, appointed the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Local Government, Deputy Brendan Corish, to be also Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence. The necessity arises under the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924, to have a Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence who will be a member of the Council of Defence.
