Vol. 110 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lands at Tallagh, Belmullet.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that the lands of Shaw (Minors), Tallagh, Belmullet, and the lands of Mr. Rufus Carson, also of Tallagh, Belmullet, have not yet been divided amongst the poor uneconomic holders in that area; and whether he will state when it is intended to take over those lands, or if it is the intention to take them over this year and give the congests in that area a chance of tilling those lands.

A scheme for the disposal of 106a. 2r. 15p. on the lands of Tallagh held by Mr. Rufus Carson has been approved by the Land Commission and the lands will be allotted as soon as possible.

A further scheme for the division of 290a. 3r. 24p. on the lands of Tallagh also held by Mr. Rufus Carson, is in course of preparation.

There are no proceedings for the acquisition of the lands in the same townland held by Shaw (Minors), but inquiries will be made in the matter.
