Vol. 110 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Non-Calling Out of Army Reserves.

asked the Minister for Defence if the Press reports concerning the non-calling out of the Army reserves for training are correct, and, if so, on what grounds was this decision arrived at.

It has been decided that the First Line Reserve will not be called out on annual training this year. This decision was taken partly on grounds of economy and partly to permit a full examination to be made of the whole question of the Reserve and Reserve training.
