Vol. 110 No. 7

Written Answers. - Workers' Holidays.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will introduce a measure amending the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939, so as to ensure that workers paid on a daily basis will be enabled to qualify for holidays under the Act in the same manner as other classes of workers and also to bring agricultural workers within the provisions of the 1939 Act.

I have not yet had an opportunity of considering whether any amendments to this Act are necessary or desirable. I will have the matter examined as early as practicable.
