I am aware that there is need for revision and consolidation of the Companies Acts, and proposals with that object in view have been under consideration in my Department. The preparation of the necessary legislation will be expedited as far as possible, but, in view of the magnitude of the task, I do not anticipate that such legislation could be introduced for some time to come.
