Vol. 110 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of Embankments (County Kerry).

asked the Minister for Lands whether the work of repairing the embankments of the Rivers Feale and Gale in North Kerry has been discontinued by the Land Commission; and, if so, whether it is the intention to resume this most essential work at an early date, so as to give the adjoining land-owners reasonable protection from the ravages of floods.

Although the Land Commission have no liability for the repair or maintenance of the embankments adjoining the Rivers Feale and Gale, County Kerry, they have recently carried out repairs to certain embankments and sluices along the rivers. Certain further work will be undertaken during the coming summer.
