Vol. 110 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fowl and Egg Production.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is prepared to amplify the statement made by him in Dáil Éireann on March 9th to the effect that in the scheme for increasing fowl and egg production, priority will be given to Gaeltacht households prepared to co-operate in the campaign; and, in particular, if he will state why no reference to this aspect of the scheme is contained in the literature issued in connection therewith.

In addition to the ordinary provisions of the Poultry Development Scheme, it is proposed to provide special assistance under the scheme to Gaeltacht areas, and if the Deputy would be good enough to put down his question next week I hope to be able to provide him with a fully comprehensive reply.

I think the Minister could have given me that reply in March when I asked the original question.

I want to give the details.

The Minister was only "codding" in March.
