Vol. 110 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Enniscorthy Shop Valuations.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the reasons why such high valuation has been placed on shops in Enniscorthy, the former figure being doubled in some cases.

The increases in valuations of a number of shops in Enniscorthy in recent years arose on revision of the valuations in accordance with the normal procedure prescribed by the Valuation Acts. As the Deputy is aware, valuations of shops, as of other houses, are related to their net annual letting value. The increases in the cases of the shops affected in Enniscorthy reflect the increases in the net annual letting values of these premises.
