Written Answers to Questions. - Tea Ration.

Mr. A. Byrne

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will say whether the present tea position will permit of an increase in the existing ration.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when he hopes to be in a position to end tea rationing, or to increase substantially the present tea ration.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether the tea ration will be increased and, if so, when.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 106, 107 and 108 together.

As announced in the Budget statement the tea ration has been increased to 2 ozs. It is not proposed at present to abolish rationing.
