Vol. 110 No. 10

Written Answers to Questions. - Oil in Berehaven.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that there is a great scarcity of oil in the Berehaven peninsula and, if so, whether he will consider utilising as a reserve emergency store the 5,000 gallon tank situated at the pier in Castletownbere which is State property.

I am aware that there has been a shortage of paraffin oil in the Berehaven peninsula. The question of utilising as a reserve emergency store the oil tank situated at the pier in Castletownbere is at present under examination.
