Vol. 110 No. 10

Written Answers to Questions. - Pier at Castletownbere.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the very unsafe condition of the pier at Castletownbere, and if he will take steps to ensure that the repairing of this pier is treated as a matter of extreme urgency.

No proposals have been submitted to my Department in recent years for the carrying out of improvements to the pier. I understand, however, that Cork County Council are proceeding with a repairs scheme at an estimated cost of £1,000.
