Vol. 110 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clondalkin Housing.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will expedite the acquisition of building sites for council houses in Clondalkin as there is an acute housing shortage in the area.

Mr. Murphy

There has been considerable difficulty in acquiring adequate and suitable sites for the provision of about 50 cottages to meet the urgent housing needs of Clondalkin. I am giving the matter my personal attention and, so far as I can see to it, there will be no avoidable delay in proceeding with such number of houses as can be built on available sites and in the acquisition of sites for the remainder.
