Vol. 110 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork City Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state what grant will be available from Hospital Trust funds for (a) the building of a regional hospital in Cork City; (b) the building of a maternity hospital in Cork City; and (c) the building of Cork Fever Hospital, the foundations of which have been laid.

A grant from the Hospitals Trust Board of 100 per cent. of the approved cost of the erection of Cork regional hospital and of a 100-bed maternity unit will be made available. The amount of the grant to be made available for the erection of the Cork Fever Hospital is still under consideration in my Department and it is expected that a decision will be communicated to the Cork Corporation in the immediate future.
