Vol. 110 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aer Lingus Services.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will state: (1) the number of aircraft which will be operated by Aer Lingus, Teoranta, on its regular services after the withdrawal of Constellations, and particulars of such aircraft, and (2) if the purchase of additional aircraft will be necessary to provide fully for the requirements of these services, and particulars of the aircraft to be acquired.

I am informed by the company that they are considering what additional aircraft will be required following the withdrawal of the Constellations from the DublinLondon service; I understand that as an immediate step they have arranged to charter three D.C.3 aircraft.
