Vol. 111 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meath Flour Supplies.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that persons resident in County Meath who depended for their bread and flour supplies on Dublin bakeries are not now getting flour because of non-delivery owing to the strike; and, if so, whether he will take such action as is necessary to ensure that a sufficient supply of flour is made available to these persons.

I am not aware that persons in County Meath are now unable to obtain flour. Persons in that area who have hitherto got their bread from Dublin can now obtain supplies of flour, in accordance with the ration, from their local shopkeepers, with whom they should at once deposit their registration pages for bread and flour.
