Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cattle Exports.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state for the years 1945, 1946 and 1947 the number and value of (a) store, and (b) fat cattle exported (1) to Great Britain and Northern Ireland; (2) other countries; and if he will give the same information for each month of 1948 to the latest available date.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information.

Following is the statement:—

The table above does not include particulars of exports of cattle to Europe for relief purposes for which no payment was received. Particulars of cattle exported as relief to Europe were given in a reply by the Minister for External Affairs to a question by Deputy Dillon reported in the Official Report of 7th May, 1947 (col. 2238).
