asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cost of draining the housing site acquired by the Dublin County Council at Balbriggan before development works commenced and whether he is satisfied that all possible steps have been taken to ensure that flooding will not occur on the lower portion of the site.

The drainage of this site is being carried out as part of the development works and I am advised that when the development of the site is completed, there will be no further danger of flooding on any part of the site. Particulars of the cost of the drainage work are being obtained from the county council and will be forwarded to the Deputy.
