asked the Minister for Local Government to indicate (1) in respect of how many of the 3,245 houses in progress in September, 1948, were tender notices issued prior to March, 1948; (2) in respect of how many of the 750 houses for which tenders were accepted and work not yet begun in September, 1948, were sites acquired or tender notices issued prior to March, 1948; (3) in respect of how many of these houses were the specifications sanctioned before March, 1948; (4) in respect of how many of the 2,242 houses tenders for which were awaited or received, were the tender advertisements issued before March, 1948, and in respect of how many of these were the specifications sanctioned before the same date; (5) in respect of how many of the 1,611 sites being developed in September had the sites been acquired before March, 1948, and in respect of how many of such sites had the proceedings of acquisition been commenced before March, 1948.

Information is being prepared on the lines indicated in the Deputy's question in regard to the position at the end of September, 1948. The preparation of these analyses will necessitate examination of the records in regard to each individual scheme. As the number of schemes involved is large, this will take some time but the information will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
