Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Civilian Employees.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state separately in respect of the whole country and of the Curragh (1) how many civilian employees, including employees of the Corps of Engineers, have been discharged since 1st August, 1948; (2) how many of these employees were (a) 1916 men, and (b) Old I.R.A. men; and (3) how many of these men have subsequently been reinstated.

The information sought by the Deputy is being prepared and if the question is repeated in a fortnight's time, I will furnish the full information required.
