asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state: (i) whether the findings of the Committee on Sewage Disposal are yet available; and, if so, when such findings will be published; and (ii) whether his Department and the Department of Agriculture have carried out tests to ascertain the value of sludge as a fertiliser.

(i) The findings are not yet available but I am informed that they are likely to be submitted soon. (ii) The Department of Local Government has not undertaken any tests of the kind referred to. I am not aware whether any such tests have been carried out by the Department of Agriculture.
