Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Export of Canned Horse Meat.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if his Department recently received a request from the Swedish Government or the Swedish Red Cross or any other reputable organisation on the Continent for the export to the Continent of substantial quantities of canned Irish horse meat for human consumption, with the added request that the cans be stamped Horse Meat or Horse Flesh and be not stamped with the words "Dog Food" or the words "not fit for human consumption".

The answer to the Deputy's question is no.
