Written Answers. - Acquisition of Offaly Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have any proceedings in progress for the acquisition of the Odlum estate, Cappincur, Tullamore, and, if so, what is the present position.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the Odlum estate at Cappincur, but they are not at present in a position to indicate if or when the estate will be acquired.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have any proceedings in progress at present for the acquisition of the Robinson estate, Kilmainham, Mountmellick, and, if not, what is the present position.

The Land Commission have at present no proceedings for the acquisition of the Robinson estate, Kilnacash, Mountmellick, but they are having an inspection made of the estate with a view to ascertaining its suitability for acquisition.
