Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Advisory Council.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (a) the dates on which meetings of the Housing Advisory Council have been held; (b) the average length of time of each meeting; (c) the percentage attendance of members at each meeting; (d) the number of reports submitted to him by the council; and (e) the date on which the last meeting of the council was held.

(a) There have been 18 meetings of the Dublin Housing Consultative Council since it was constituted on the 30th April, 1948. In the initial stages, following the appointment of the council, meetings were held weekly. Subsequently, meetings have been held not less frequently than once a month or when urgent business required.

(b) The average duration of meetings have been two and a quarter hours.

(c) The attendance has averaged 70 per cent. of the members.

(d) Copies of the minutes of all meetings of the council and reports considered by the council are submitted to the Department. Ten such reports have been received up to the present. In addition representations are made to the Department by the council on such matters as they think proper.

(e) The latest meeting of the council took place on the 25th April, 1949.
