asked the Minister for Finance if he will state for each of the years from 1938 to 1948 (inclusive) the quantities consumed within the State of (a) beer, (b) spirits, (c) wines and (d) tobacco.

As the answer to this question is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated in the Official Report.
