Vol. 115 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sale of Strychnine.

asked the Minister for Health whether he is aware that the legislation governing the sale of strychnine poison is considered inadequate; and, if so, whether he will introduce proposals for legislation to restrict more rigidly the sale of this poison.

I am aware that the existing legislation governing the sale of strychnine poison is considered inadequate. The matter is under examination and if, as appears likely at present, fresh legislation is necessary, such legislation will be introduced as soon as possible.
