Vol. 116 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Building Requirements in Leix.

asked the Minister for Local Government what steps are being taken to satisfy the building requirements of Vicarstown, Stradbally, Leix.

There are no proposals before the Department for the provision of houses at Vicarstown, Stradbally, Laoighis. I understand from the local authority that there is no demand for houses in the area in question.

Sites have been acquired by the Laoighis County Council at Stradbally to accommodate 11 houses which in the opinion of the council should satisfy the immediate demand for houses in the Stradbally area.
