Vol. 117 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Car Parks.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that there is an urgent need for car parks at seaside resorts in North County Dublin, especially Corballis Strand, Donabate; if so, whether he will recommend that proper car parks be made available near these resorts.

I understand that the Garda Síochána authorities have been in communication with the Dublin County Council for some time with a view to the provision of a parking place near Corballis Strand, Donabate. I have no doubt that the provision of car parks at other seaside resorts in North County Dublin would be a welcome amenity, but the provision of amenities of this kind is a matter that must be left to the initiative of the local authority.
