Vol. 118 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Córas Iompair Éireann Offices and Buildings.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) the capital value of the Dublin road services offices owned by Córas Iompair Éireann and the rates and taxes thereon; and (b) the capital value of the Store Street building and estimated rates and taxes thereon.

Excluding premises used for road freight, there are only two offices at present occupied by Córas Iompair Éireann in Dublin in connection with their road services. These are the premises at 59 Upper O'Connell Street and the premises at Aston's Quay. The aggregate rates on these premises are £1,650 per annum. These offices have not been valued by the company recently and I see no reason to ask them to value them now. In the case of Store Street, I have already stated that the capital cost would be of the order of £1,000,000. The premises have not yet been valued for rating purposes but it has been estimated that the rates alone would be about £12,000 per annum.
