Vol. 118 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Sewerage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that a proper sewerage scheme is urgently needed for Mullinahone; whether he will state if a proposed scheme was recently submitted to his Department by the local authority, and, if so, when; and what is the present position.

I am aware of the need for a sewerage scheme for Mullinahone and have approved of the provision of a scheme on the lines proposed by the county council's consulting engineer.

The final contract drawings were received on the 20th October, 1949, and were approved on the 7th instant. The submission of the remainder of the contract documents—specification, bill of quantities and general conditions of contract—is awaited.
