Vol. 118 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Clare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire (i) the Ballyshannon farm, Quin; (ii) the farm of Mr. William Leddy, Crusheen; (iii) the Kelly farm, Killeenan, Fountain Cross, Ennis; (iv) the Wilson Lynch farm, Belvoir, Sixmilebridge, and (v) the Moloney farm, Corlea, Feakle, County Clare; and, if so, when acquisition will take place and when a scheme for distribution will be ready.

In the cases at (i), (ii) and (iii), the proceedings have reached an advanced stage and it is expected that possession of these lands will be obtained this year. The case at (iv) is under consideration, while possession has been taken of the estate mentioned at (v). It is not possible to indicate when any of these estates will be allotted.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state how soon the Land Commission propose to distribute the lands formerly held by the Fergus Reclamation Syndicate at Islandavanna, Ennis, County Clare.

As the proceedings for the acquisition of this estate have not yet been completed, it is not possible to state whether or when the lands will be allotted.
