asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give particulars of the amounts and dates of payment of grants (a) out of the Road Fund to Clare County Council during the period April 1st to November 30th, 1949; and (b) under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, in respect of the same period.

The particulars are as follows: (a) Road Fund grants—£30,000 paid on 30th April; £16,480 paid on 29th June; £82,503 paid on 27th September; £8,659 paid on 28th October.
(b) Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949—£2,100 paid on 29th October; £4,100 paid on 30th November.
