Vol. 119 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rural Electrification.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) whether a survey of the Garristown area, County Dublin, was carried out by the Electricity Supply Board in connection with the rural electrification scheme, and (b) the approximate date on which work on the scheme is expected to commence in the area.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that a canvass of the Garristown, County Dublin, area has not yet been undertaken but that it is hoped to make it in about three months' time. The question of providing a supply in the area cannot be considered until the canvass has been made.
