Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authorities' Accounts.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will make arrangements for the publication by local authorities of yearly or half-yearly accounts, copies to be made available for purchase by interested ratepayers in each county council area.

The accounts of all local authorities in respect of each financial year are audited by local government auditors. Every local authority is required to furnish a copy of the certified abstracts of its accounts and of the auditor's report thereon to any person who applies therefor at a charge of 1/-.
