Vol. 119 No. 16

Order of Business.

Business, as set out on the Order Paper, will be taken in the following order: Nos. 1, 11, 12, 4, 5 and 3. It is proposed to sit until midnight.

I wonder if it would be possible to secure agreement on giving the Minister an hour or an hour and a half to reply to the debate? Would it be possible to let the Minister in about nine o'clock so as to conclude the remaining financial items before midnight?

We are agreeable that the Vote on Account and the Central Fund Bill should be disposed of to-day.

And the Supplementary Estimates?

In regard to the Supplementary Estimates, I think it would be more desirable if we interrupt the debate on the Vote on Account at 6.30 for an hour or an hour and a half and get rid of them in that time rather than leave them over to the end of the business.

I do not mind if the Deputy wishes it that way.

In which case the Minister for Finance will get in at about 10.45 to conclude the debate on the Vote on Account.

I take it the House is agreed on that. There will be an interruption in the debate on the Vote on Account from 6.30 to 7.30 for the purpose of taking the Supplementary Estimates and the Minister for Finance will be called on at 10.45 to conclude the debate on the Vote on Account.

Ordered accordingly.
