Vol. 120 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Blasket Island Inspection.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether Land Commission inspectors visited the Great Blasket Island recently, and, if so, for what purpose, and whether these inspectors have made any recommendations or have proposed any scheme for the improvement of the economic position of the islanders.

Land Commission inspectors recently visited the Great Blasket Island to obtain up-to-date information as to the condition and user of the holdings on the island. They were not asked to recommend any scheme of improvement as the economic position of the islanders is already well known.
