Vol. 121 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Amendment of Labourers Act, 1936.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the demand for the amendment of the Labourers Act, 1936, and whether he is now in a position to make a definite announcement in the matter.

A number of suggestions have been made for the amendment of the part of the Labourers Act, 1936, dealing with the sale of labourers' cottages. These suggestions are being examined, but I am not yet in a position to indicate whether amending legislation will be introduced.
