Vol. 121 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Retail Prices of Food.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the national average retail prices of the principal articles of food as at mid-February, 1950, as ordinarily set out in the Irish Trade Journal.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the national average retail prices of the principal articles of food at mid-February, 1950.

Following is the statement:—

NATIONAL AVERAGE RETAIL PRICES AT MID-FEBRUARY, 1950, OF THE PRINCIPAL ARTICLES OF FOOD COMPUTED FROM RETURNS RECEIVED FROM 120 TOWNS (LARGE AND SMALL) IN IRELAND.
