Vol. 121 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Postal Services.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state whether a daily postal service will be provided for the large postal areas around Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, with a population of approximately 5,000, viz.: (1) Caherlane-kilconlea; (2) Kilmanihan, Lower Kilconlea; (3) Dromtrasna North-Dromtrasna Collins; (4) Meenahelia-Drumtrasna Hartnett; (5) Knocknacrohy, and (6) Knockmeal.

It would not be practicable to provide a daily delivery to these areas at present, because of the considerable cost which would be entailed. I will have the matter reexamined when the Abbeyfeale area is surveyed in connection with the general reorganisation of postal services.
