Vol. 121 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - State-sponsored Corporations.

asked the Taoiseach whether a decision has yet been reached by the Government to bring the activities and financial operations of State-sponsored corporations under review by the Oireachtas.

As has already been indicated on a number of occasions on behalf of the Government, the view of the Government is that State-sponsored bodies should be rendered amenable to parliamentary supervision. Arrangements to give effect to that view are now in train and proposals will be brought before the Dáil after the Summer Recess.
