Vol. 121 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Compensation for Jurors.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that there is growing dissatisfaction amongst jurors who are being called upon to make a great personal sacrifice in order to assist in the administration of justice without any compensation, and if he will state what action he proposes to take in the matter.

I have instituted certain inquiries into this matter and, when these are completed. I hope to be in a position to take the Government's view on it.
