Vol. 121 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Gaeltacht Housing Grants.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware of the undue delay in the carrying out of the investigation of the claims of applicants for Gaeltacht housing grants, particularly those of applicants in Valentia Island, and if he will take steps to have these claims dealt with more expeditiously.

There is no delay in dealing with applications for grants under the Housing (Gaeltacht) Acts. Nine applications were received from persons in Valentia Island and six of these have been granted. The remaining three cases have been investigated and decisions will be given shortly.
